Cookie policy
Last updated: 17 October 2026
Cookies are small files your browser keeps for a website. askJBoss uses a small number of them:
Needed for the site to work
- Session and security cookies — keep you logged in (“Keep me logged in” remembers you longer) and protect forms from abuse.
- Your town (
ajb_city) — the town you chose, or the nearest town we detected, so we can show local updates. Kept up to one year; change it any time. - Your language (
ajb_lang) — the language you picked.
Small conveniences in your browser
We also keep a few small settings in your browser’s storage — for example that you closed the announcement bar, already saw a pop-up today, or that we already looked up your town in this visit. They never leave your device.
Analytics and adverts (only if switched on)
If we switch them on, Google Analytics measures visits and Google AdSense shows adverts; both may set their own cookies. See Google’s policies for details.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of askJBoss (such as staying logged in or seeing your local town) will stop working. See also our Privacy policy.
