From the 2014 hit “Woju” to the global smash “Buga”, Kizz Daniel has built a reputation as one of Nigeria’s most consistent hitmakers — and he did it after leaving his first label to run his own, Flyboy Inc.

Woju
While still a university student in Abeokuta, Kizz Daniel signed with G-Worldwide in 2013. “Woju” (2014) became a nationwide hit, followed by “Laye” and “Mama”. His debut album New Era won Album of the Year at the 2016 Headies.
Going independent
A contract dispute with G-Worldwide went to court, and in 2017 he started his own label, Flyboy Inc. In 2018 he changed his stage name from Kiss Daniel to Kizz Daniel. The dispute was settled in 2022.
Buga and beyond
“Buga” with Tekno (2022) became one of the biggest African songs of the year — a dance challenge everywhere and one of the most Shazamed songs in the world at its peak. “Cough (Odo)” and the “Twe Twe” remix with Davido kept the run going.
Personal life
Kizz Daniel keeps his private life private. In 2021 he welcomed triplet sons; sadly, one died days after birth.
