Our wives are not our slaves. Help them - Nigerian man says as he prepares raw pap while his wife slept

A Nigerian man, Muhd Hassan, has stated that true love and real marriage are rooted in partnership and shared responsibility, adding that wives should be treated with respect and understanding.

Sharing photos of himself preparing raw pap while his wife slept, he stated that wives are not slaves and husbands should be willing to support them with household chores.

While acknowledging that it's a small gesture, he emphasized that love lives in the details.

According to him, being a husband goes beyond providing financial support, it's about actively making life a little easier for your wife.

He concluded that helping with household chores doesn't make a man weak, but rather demonstrates maturity, responsibility and genuine love.

"Our wives are not our slaves. They deserve to be treated with kindness, love, respect, and understanding,” he wrote in a Facebook post.

" They need husbands who are willing to support them with household chores and share responsibilities at home.

"Tonight, while my wife was sleeping, I decided to prepare pap for us to drink tomorrow. It may look like a small thing, but to me, it is one of the little ways of showing love and care.

"Being a husband is not just about providing money for the family; it is also about being supportive, thoughtful, and willing to make life easier for your wife.

"Dear husbands, helping your wives with housework does not make you weak or less of a man. It shows maturity, responsibility, and genuine love.

"Our wives also get tired. They deserve rest, happiness, and peace of mind. Let us not leave every household responsibility to them simply because they are women.

"Love is not only what you say; it is what you do. Sometimes, the smallest acts of kindness speak louder than a thousand words.

“Gentlemen, let us make our homes places of love, teamwork, and mutual respect. Proudly Mijin Hajiya 001.”
