Former NFL star Marcellus Wiley has been accused of sexually attacking a woman in a new lawsuit alleging that it happened nearly 28 years ago while she was a college student in California.
The lawsuit was filed on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, in Los Angeles County by a woman identified as Jane Doe, who alleges that Wiley attacked her in 1999 when she was a 22-year-old student at the University of Southern California (USC).
Doe claimed that she first met Wiley, who’s now 51 years old, in February 1999, and the two went on a pair of dates.
“Around that time,” Doe’s lawsuit stated, “Jane told Wiley that she was not sexually active, was sexually inexperienced, and was not interested in or willing to have a romantic relationship with Wiley or anyone.”
Weeks later, Doe claimed that Wiley asked her to join him at a downtown Los Angeles nightclub, and she agreed.
Wiley picked her up outside her USC dorm room and after they had their night out, he “pleaded” with her “to come back with him to his hotel, the Hilton near LAX Airport,” according to the lawsuit.
“Because it was late and she did not have access to her car, Jane agreed to go with Wiley to his hotel,” the lawsuit stated.
While inside the property’s lobby, Wiley allegedly repeatedly pressured Doe to spend the night with him in his hotel room.
“Ultimately,” Doe’s lawsuit stated, “Jane agreed to spend the night in Wiley’s room. In doing so, Jane repeatedly and explicitly told him that she was not interested in having sex and that she was going to go to sleep immediately.
“Wiley told Jane that he understood that they would not have sex and that Jane was going to go to sleep immediately.”
Doe alleged in her suit that once she got to the room, she fell asleep “fully clothed.” However, she said later in the night, Wiley raped her.
