Gospel singer Tope Alabi has issued a cease and desist notice to Pastor Tayo Ministries over alleged defamatory publications.

Kemi Filani reported that Tayo had linked Tope to the death of late singer, Toluwanisings.

Responding, Alabi, through her lawyers, demanded that she remove the defamatory post and issue a public retraction and apology.

Tope’s lawyer said noncompliance could lead to legal action.

“To Pastor Tayo Ministries @tayokumuyi.
Please find attached a formal cease-and-desist notice from my legal representatives.
You are hereby required to take down all defaming posts, videos, and captions and issue a retraction within 24 hours of receiving this notice.
Failure to comply will leave me with no option but to pursue all appropriate legal remedies available, regardless of your location”.

Last year, Tope had refused to honour Lizzy at her surprise birthday party on Friday amid payment. According to reports, Tope refused to perform when she got to the venue and realised who she was performing for.

Speaking out, the controversial actress dragged Tope Alabi as she noted how she is a brand that her husband built with an empty stomach. She noted how when Tope had issues with Ajanaku, she stood by her and listened to her music.

Liz noted how she is a Muslim and, as such, didn’t expect her fans to invite a gospel singer to her birthday. She claimed she could never use her money to call Tope Alabi to sing for her.

Amid the drama, Tope had performed at the birthday party of the former First Lady of Lagos State. Giving a special shout-out to the celebrant, Tope described her as a dear mother and prayed for her.
