Dates not announced yet

JAMB will announce the 2027 timetable on its official website and social media, usually in January. This guide uses the 2026 timetable as a guide — always confirm the new dates and fees before you pay.

📋 Get these ready now

  • Your National Identification Number (NIN). No NIN, no JAMB registration. Enrol at a NIMC centre early — queues get long in January.
  • A phone number you will keep, and your own email address (not your café’s).
  • Your O-level results (WAEC/NECO) or the exam you are awaiting.
  • Your choice of course and institutions, and the 4 UTME subjects that course requires (Use of English plus three). Check the JAMB brochure for each course.

🪜 Step by step

  1. Create your profile codeSend your NIN by SMS to JAMB’s short code (55019 or 66019) in the format: NIN 12345678901. You will receive a 10-character profile code. Use the same phone number for everything.
  2. Buy your e-PINPay through JAMB’s approved channels (its website, approved banks or partners) using your profile code. Choose UTME, UTME with mock, or Direct Entry.
  3. Register at an accredited CBT centreGo to a JAMB-accredited CBT centre with your e-PIN and NIN slip. Your fingerprints and photo are captured, and you choose your subjects, course and institutions.
  4. Check everything before you leaveName spelling, date of birth, subjects, course and institutions. Correcting mistakes later costs money and time.
  5. Print your exam slipCloser to the exam, JAMB opens printing of the exam slip showing your date, time and centre.

⚠️
Avoid scams

Only register at JAMB-accredited CBT centres, and never pay anyone who promises “upgraded” scores, “runs” or guaranteed admission. JAMB catches and cancels such results, and candidates can be banned.

💡
Practise on a computer

Practise with past questions on a computer, not only on paper — the real exam is computer-based and timing matters.
